Hypnotherapy (Hypnosis)

Hypnosis makes use of the communication between the conscious and unconscious processes of the brain.

Hypnosis is an alternative state of awareness in which we enter naturally every day and is also utilised for therapeutic purposes (Hypnotherapy) and improvement. This is given to and accepted directly by your unconscious mind and in this way hypnosis can produce positive and continuous change.

In Hypnotherapy the critical and judgmental faculties of the conscious mind are side-stepped and new thought processes, beneficial proposals & strategies are placed directly in the uncritical, unconscious mind, which allows us to accept things that would normally be filtered because of our current experiences.

Most importantly hypnotherapy is a “do with” not a “do to” process and it is a collaboration between the therapist and the client. Hypnosis is not a mystical state, it is however a very natural state similar to the waking/relaxing (zoning out) state of trance we experience every day.
